Alex Q.

So Harjit was kind enough to forward me the link of pictures from Opera last Thursday. Man, I must have been super drunk because it was Alex Quinn’s birthday and celebs were in the house! The club is freaking small and for some reason we did not see Apl from Black Eyed Peas. Weak.

Anyway, those are some ” =X ” pictures. Haha if you’re nice enough, I’ll send you the link.

Restaurant Week & THE Thief

Filed under: Random Thoughts - katlinson @ 12:21 am

I’m pretty bummed the IE doesn’t offer shit for restaurant week. Guess we’re just not cool enough =/

This past week has seriously been partying like a rockstar. Not sure if I can hang. This weekend I head back to Utah… mixed feelings about it. Excited for the snow and to see my coworkers, but it’s going to be work nonetheless.

That’s it. Oh wait! Two important things to note:
1. GUAM is a thief
2. I finally have peace of mind, homo. =P

Please don’t stop the music,
Kat

Stuck on Bacon

Filed under: Random Thoughts - katlinson @ 11:40 pm

So I was in line the other day paying for some ice cream at Ralph’s when a thought occurred to me… I wonder what made the guy in front of me get up and go to the store to buy super glue and bacon. Was he thinking… “Hmm… while I glue this thing back together, I feel like bacon!”? Sure.

Anyway, had an interesting week/end. Played and worked in San Diego for Nelly’s b-day. Always good times with the Guammie Bears. A little DnBs, Japanese Wannabe, Hard Rock Hotel, and more 671 friends. Couldn’t get any better.

Also had an embarassing moment during work. I had a meeting at UCSD Cancer Center with a Dr. McHale. Long story short, ended up in Dr. Mikael’s office. I introduced myself and he told me to have a seat. We chatted for a while until I finally asked him, “Wait… are you a GYN?” He smiled and said no. The crazy guy just played along so I could talk to him! Gets worse… as I was about to leave he says, “One more thing before you leave… maybe you should zip up your fly!” Haha why was he even looking in that area? Ew.

That’s all. =)

Realizing how much I will miss the Alvers… =/ cwap,
Katters

Payback is a Bitch.

Filed under: Random Thoughts - katlinson @ 1:22 am

When I say payback, I mean paying back my loans. Just got off the phone with a loan counselor and wow, I owe a LOT of freaking money.

Now what? Got to keep on truckin’ I guess and wish I win some filthy jackpot.

On another depressing note, I started studying for my GREs. Not very successful if you ask me. I fall asleep as soon as I open the book. If anyone needs a study buddy, holler. I sure could use one.

I get money. I wish.

Relationshit.

Filed under: Random Thoughts - katlinson @ 4:07 am

Thanks Marian.

A little advice for all:

1. If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn’t want you, nothing can make him stay.
2. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
3. Slower is better.
4. Have faith in God regarding your relationship, but don’t let faith make you stupid. God does things decent and in order.
5. Don’t settle for less!
6. If you feel like he is stringing you along then he probably is.
7. If he keeps changing his mind about the relationship–take that as a BIG sign that he is unstable. Do you really want to be with a man like that?
8. Don’t stay because you think “it will get better.” You’ll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
9. Honorable men take care of their business and aren’t involved in a whole lot of mess.
10. The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
11. There’s only one ‘reason’ a man dumps you; he doesn’t want you.
12. You must kiss many frogs before finding your prince.
13. Always put yourself and your happiness first.
14. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up.
15. Be honest and upfront.
16. Know when to cut the cord, don’t be strung along.
17. You cannot change a man’s behaviors. Change comes from within.
18. Demand respect and if he can’t give it, he can’t have you!
19. Actions speak louder than words.
20. I learned to give up my lifelong task of trying to make someone unavailable-available, someone ungiving-giving, and someone unloving-loving.
21. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
22. All men are NOT dogs.
23. You should not be the one doing all the bending…compromise is a two way street
24. If you don’t love self…you can’t love anyone else.
25. You need time to heal between relationships…there is nothing cute about baggage…deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
26. You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you…a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals…look for someone complimentary…not supplementary.
27. NEVER give more in a relationship than you are getting out of it.
28. When actions and words conflict - believe the actions. Respond to them.
29. A real healthy relationship requires two people. One person can end it but it takes two to make it work.
30. Make him miss you…when a man always know where you are and your always available - he takes it for granted.
31. Give him his space…let him go out with his boys, don’t pressure him to spend time with you, You cant force a man to hang out with you.
32. If u wouldn’t allow your daughter to be with him, then you shouldn’t.
33. When its time to let go, let go.
34. Good men should be treated like good men.
35. Don’t play games - we’re not in high scool.
36. Compatibility in terms of educational attainment, values, beliefs, personal and career goals, and socioeconomic status, are important.

First blog of the year. It’s been an interesting first week of 2008. New Year’s Eve turned out to be more festive than expected. Thanks for sharing in the experience Best. Had playtime in the ‘Vine. Went Salsa dancing. Effed up my knee. Happy Birthday Leo. Let’s not say hi/bye. Rain rain rain.

Now, application time.
