I think tonight will be the first time I get a full 8 hours of sleep since I’ve been in Utah. Hopefully.

So this past weekend me and the coworkers decided to hit up Vegas for a late birthday celebration for me and Liz. Rented a car, drove 6 hours, and stayed at the Hilton. Way good times. We met up with Alva and the Guams, saw Ray Ray, Travis, and then some. So many people. Even my parents =X haha. To sum it up, we went to practically every casino, did some crazy shopping and gambling, and walked off like 5 pounds each. Real talk.

Saturday night was a weird one. Went to Club Rain, got hooked up with free VIP bottle service, and met Trishelle from Real World Las Vegas. My drunk ass made a fool of myself, but it was fun. Cot damn she’s tall. After the club, had breakfast, saw the Vegas sunrise, and gambled with the Guammies until 830 am. Wow.

Time to sleep =) Hopefully this weekend I get to see my Irvine boys. Until then, it’s game time at work. Time to show them what’s up.

First of all, thanks to all those who greeted me on my birthday! Made it a little better to know people care.

So my first couple of weeks in Utah have been interesting. My parents came to visit and spent me and my dad’s bday here. Anyway, work has been pretty busy. It seriously feels like we’re studying for med school. It’s kind of refreshing to learn so much stuff, but it’s exhausting.

My Utah pics are finally online. Oh and had another Deuce encounter AND I’m 22 for a whole year. Excited to see what’s in store for me. Hopefully change will be for the better, in more ways than one.

I’m old for my age.

Finally reached the weekend. Today was intense. We finished reading a book and had a test. Then they sat us down for 5 hours straight to read a binder full of articles. This job is going to be a challenge.

Working full time is serious. I get so tired by the time work is done I just want to sleep. Even my e-mail box is getting full. I used to check every mail box like 10 times a day. Atleast our “fun club” had a chance to hop in the hot tub last night. Tonight we hit up the town.

So my parents are in Vegas and are visiting for mine and my pop’s b-days. Sweet huh? I’m in need of some Moval faces so it should be nice. Alright… Vegas next weeeeeekendddd. homies.

Man this work training business is intense. We have to finish a book by tomorrow, then a quiz. I’m glad my fellow boot campers are cool people. We have fun and talk about all kinds of things. It’s nice that we can open up even though we’ve only known each other for a couple days now. Anyway, pictures soon to come. I need to study now!

So Utah is actually more fun than I thought it was going to be. Last night I went to Park City with Brian and his friends. It’s an awesome place full of cool bars and shops. It’s the area where they held the 2002 Olympics.

Today was the first day of work. We hopped into our whip, a DeVille. Super pimp. It was a long day filled with orientation and touring.

After work we went exploring. Went to Walmart, up Wasatch to the mountains, and Ballys (they gave us free membership). Had a Deuce incident. We were driving and a bus drove by. Destination: 222 South Street. Wee!

Okay, time for bed. My working ass needs to get up early. Goodnight =)

I’m here. It’s different…

The flights were horrible. I left Ontario around 10 am and the flight was so nauseating. I almost yakked everywhere… good thing I held it down. I had an hour lay over in Vegas. Enough time to lose $5 on the slot machines. Stupid airport slots are fixed.

Flight from Vegas to Utah was just as uncomfortable. Turbulence and a 2 year old right next to me. Let’s just say I’m left with a bruise on my nose and juice on my jeans.

Finally here at the hotel. Not a bad setup. Free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Right now I’m going to go explore the town with B. Monzon. Seee yaaaa Cali.

I’ve decided to create a new blog category called “Deuce.” Let me explain briefly.

Since my freshman year in college, I began to notice that the number 222 was following me. I saw it everywhere. I often see just the number 2 or 22, but what creeped me out a little was the number 222. The following are a few examples. I have become so used to seeing it, that it hardly phases me anymore.

My dorm room number at UCI was 222.

I randomly look at the clock and the time is 2:22. Sometime I even wake up at that time.

My grandma died on February 22 (2/22)

The remaining battery time on my laptop often gets stuck at 2 hours and 22 minutes.

When driving, I came to a red light and stopped. I looked to my right and saw a building with large numbers which read: 222.

A friend of mine told me after I explained my situation, she saw a license plate that said Kat22 or something of that nature.

I did some research on it, and apparently it happens to a lot of people. It might even be my grandma saying “Hi!”

Anyhoo, the list goes on. I thought it would be interesting to blog about random encounters with the number. This past Friday I was flipping through pages of a hotel tour book and landed on a page. There to my surprise was a picture advertisment about a cafe. See for yourself:

Lost in more ways than one. Friday night, got lost going to the club, lost my worries, lost my license, then lost my dinner. I had a good time despite some drama on someone else’s part. SUPER DUPER big thanks to Nielle, Robert, Alva, Christian, Edwin, Len, Terry, and Trav (sort of haha). You guys are some of the best people in my life. I love you =D

Just got back from the ghetto DMV. Not as long as I thought it was going to be. Now I must pack. Total deja vu of when I left for Singapore. I love waiting until the day before to pack.

Since I’m leaving for Salt Lake City next week, I’m celebrating the pointless turning point of 22 years of age in my life this weekend. Vegas doesn’t look like it’s happening anymore… but San Diego is looking like a nice alternative. So if you like me at all, be at Gaslamp this weekend =)

I hate liars.

The heat has me feeling sick for a few days now. Oh well, could be worse. Today was my 2nd interview… score. =) Now I just need to decide if I want to take it. If I do, it’ll be early birthday celebrating for me and pops. I know I’ll regret it if I don’t go for it. Utah here I come?!

Oh and can I puhlease cop that grey Anya bag?! I have the blue one, but the grey and green ones are so much nicer. The Hong Kong release looked nuts.

So as I was doing the usual Myspace surfing, a thought came to mind. Everyone seems to have their “crew” or who they’re typically seen with. Their BEST FRIENDS. I don’t really have that. You know, the people who call you everyday just to see what you’re doing. The people you lounge around doing absolutely nothing with. The people you believe will do almost anything for you if it’s within reason. I know maybe one or two people who I know will do almost anything for me, and one of them is on the other side of the world. I guess I need to work on my social networks a little better. Problem might be that I can’t seem to stay in one place for a very long time. The last time I had a real group of best friends was high school. The good ol days.

It’s hot. Seriously. It makes me so lazy. Time for another vacay before the real world ya? Anyone game? Haller. But before any vacationing, I need to start going to the gym again and getting fit. Game time.
