Awkward Odors
As beautiful and clean a country Singapore is, it smells weird almost everywhere you go. I’m sitting here in class (yeah I know, I should be paying attention), and I’m trying to take the least amount of breaths as possible. It’s weird, the majority of people here smell awful. Right now, the guy next to me smells like the ball pit in Chuck E. Cheeses. Seriously like sweaty feet. Don’t get me started on the buses. There’s a certain group of people, and I won’t say who, that smells like B.O. times 10. Me and a few of the other UC kids have noticed that it’s a freaking challenge to find a stick of deodorant in the stores, but the fronts of every store is super stocked with condoms. Haha… that might explain the bad odors. And when you finally do find one, it’s like S$10/stick. That’s still like 7 U.S. dollars. Amazing.
You know what also smells horrible? Durian. I swear they worship the damn fruit here. They even designed a building after it. But, it’s illegal to bring on trains and buses because of the smell. WTF?
Disclaimer- This entry is not meant to offend anyone, and if it does offend you… smell yourself haha jk.
Okay, I just needed to share that. Anyway, tonight is ladies’ night. Free entry to the clubs and bars, and ALL you can drink. That’s right… all the alcohol you can possibly dream of. I might have to pass tonight, it’s not too fun going to class Thursday morning with a hangover.
On a random note: God I miss hole in the wall Mexican food.
As I was sitting alone on a bench eating my sack lunch… I see this:
Haha pretty sad huh?
Okay, until next time… Peace out.
That´s hella funny, damn and i thought Singapore would smell like chlorine or something. I´ll be honest, down here it´s the German and gringo travelers that smell the worst. They figure they can go without bathing cuz they´re in another country…yeah, I do it too haha.
